Getting Your Creativity Flowing Once More

You’re halfway through an important assignment for a customer and you’re stuck. What do you do now? No more brilliant ideas are coming out of your head. None of your usual techniques to get rid of creative block seem to be working either. Your creativity seems to be on a vacation.

It doesn’t have to be that way. To help you get back on track and continue to surprise your clients, we’ll examine several strange but very effective techniques to get your creative juices flowing again.


Creativity in Routine?

Every decision you make during the day will have a negative impact on your capacity to effectively accomplish a task. Yes, every time you’re forced to make a decision, you lose a little bit of mental energy. Have you seen the video of @jaykapoor.24 where he explains why he uses only a grey shirt?  

If you begin your day by answering emails or addressing stupid queries from dense clients, you may find yourself exhausted by noon. A lot of your day’s vitality has been sucked out of you by those tiny decisions.  If you have a nutritious lunch or take a brief sleep, you can recoup some of the lost productivity. But you won’t be quite as productive in the afternoon as you were before.

Many of your daily decisions may be automated using systems and routines. This can assist enormously in regaining some of that lost creativity.


Have a full day scheduled for figuring out anything from what color shirt to wear for the week. Even if it’s not possible, try to batch your email answers. It’s not a crime to copy and paste responses as long as they’re relevant

Automating as many tasks as possible allows you to focus on the job that really matters.

An Energizing Blast

Making the decision to start a new project might be intimidating. Too much choice may do more than simply confuse us – it can spoil our experience and make us want to hide as we struggle to comprehend everything in front of us. When it comes to design projects, the more flexibility I have, the more difficult it is for me to get going.

Freedom in my design work is something I’ve worked very hard to obtain, and I’m fortunate to have it.  yet, there are moments when I wish I was back in school with rigorous tasks and a limited area of work.

So, what’s the answer to this dilemma then?  To get creativity flowing, I’ve discovered that doing something unplanned helps a lot.  In this case, exercise is a no-brainer, because it can assist with a wide range of conditions, including creative block.

Others include spending time with friends or loved ones, working on a personal project, or even playing sports like soccer(my personal favorite).

You Need to Calm Your Nerves

Sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re being intimidated by your assignment. Your body is overloaded with energy, which manifests as nervous restlessness, procrastination via useless work.

When you don’t know where to start, and you know you should be doing something constructive, but you can’t figure out what.


For the next time, it doesn’t matter what strategy you use. The result is that every time you are presented with a comparable situation and respond with tension, nervousness, or extreme worry, a copy of that reaction is saved in your brain’s hard drive.

This means that you need a solution that will burn off or reduce part of that surplus energy. Your brain will be soothed and more focused if you engage in soothing activities such as meditation, jogging, writing, or reading.
