Are you creating your first WordPress website? Are you confused about where to start, what all skills and software are required? Are you confused regarding the Domain, Hosting, and other things that are applied while creating a website? If you have any of the above issues you are in the right place. I will guide you through all the steps from beginning to end.

Website Layout

In today’s world if you are starting a business it is very important to have an online presence. The best way is a Website through which people may get to know the company and its features and products.

Step 1: Selecting a Niche

Niche diagram

Niche is a particular topic in which you want to start a business. Finding a Niche is a very important step. Without a set goal, it is very difficult to increase the business.

You may not get the perfect Niche the first time and that is completely fine. There is no hard and fast rule of selecting the Niche. The best way according to me of finding your perfect Niche is through trial and error. It was the easiest method in school and in real life also it is displaying its usefulness.

Step 2: Finding a Domain

Domain name

What is a domain? A domain is the name of the site. Like people have names, websites also have names through which we call them. A domain is used to call the site on the internet. There are many websites through which we can purchase the domain. You just have to type Best Domain name sites. You will get a ton of information. But it may get confusing as with so many options we tend to confuse ourselves and then at the end left with leaving for another day. At least it happened to me.

I will give you my top 3 recommendations to simplify the task.

Step 3: Hosting

For example, your house is the Internet. Now there are different rooms in the house. These rooms are basically hosting. It is a space on the web where your content is stored so that everyone from all over the world can access your content. Now how does the internet knows where the content is stored on the Internet?

You guessed it! It is through the domain that you purchased before. So Hosting and Domain need to be purchased if you want your content to be shown to all the people all over the world.

Now the question arises of which Hosting you should opt for? Same as Domain there are ample amount of websites that provide Hosting as well. It all depends on you and the type of business you are trying to set up.

If you are a student or who is just starting I would recommend Hostinger. With this Hosting, it provides a free Domain, and also it is cheap which makes it convenient for starters.

Step 4: Website Creation

This is the most fun part of the whole process. Creating your own website is like the backbone of your Business. Many pay ample amount of money so that they may have a good and fast website to entertain their customers.

Now with the help of CMS like WordPress and Webflow the site creation has become so easy. You do not have to code to build a website now. It is all drag and drop. I have created my own website.

I have tried both WordPress and Webflow. Both have strengths and weaknesses.

  • It is completely free to use.
  • You’ll need a graphic design plugin unless you’re a coder, or you’ll be limited by available templates.
  • As long as you use a plugin, it’s very easy to customize.
  • It is not free and you will have to buy the hosting from Webflow.
  • Customize everything visually by starting with a blank canvas or one of over 100 models.
  • SEO settings that are completely customizable and simple to set up.

I would prefer to use Webflow because it is very user-friendly. Has a lot of customization that can be done. On the other hand, you could start through WordPress until you start earning some money and then invest that money on Webflow. It is very easy to transfer content from WordPress to Webflow.

Let me know in the comments if you find any issues and I would try my best to resolve your issue.
